Great Flax Grinder, August 14, 2010

This is an excellent, indispensable gadget in our house. My husband used it to grind several pounds of coffee beans that were given to us by friends. Now I use it almost exclusively to grind flax seeds for my chickens. Yes, you read that correctly. I purchased 100 pounds of flax seed from the animal feed store (it was on sale and I could not pass on this great value) and every day I grind about 1/4 cup for my chickens. The hens prefer the ground seed to the whole seed. It takes only about three seconds to produce a fine powder with no overheating. I think excessive heat might reduce the nutritional content of the flax. In short, I highly recommend the Krups Coffee Grinder.

Works great! Not that noisy considering it is grinding, August 12, 2010

This product does a great job for the purpose it was designed. Not noisy as I had expected from others reviews. Would recommend this to anyone that grinds coffee. Have not tried it with spices yet but I'm sure it will suit that nicely also. Price point is fair.

Coffee Bean Grinder - For the Best Coffee Experience

Coffee Bean Grinder

Do you want to serve tastier coffee in your home without buying a new coffee machine? You can make it happen by using a good coffee bean grinder. It may take longer time for you to prepare your drink compare than using ready to brew pods or capsule, but if you are a true caffeine lover who wants to improve your daily beverage experience, then this machine is really worth it.

The secret behind delicious coffee drinks is started in the bean. It has shell that helps storing its oil and aroma for quite a long time. Many traditional factories store the beans for even up to eight years because they believe this method can enhance the flavor and aroma while also reduce the acidity level.

On the contrary, after the beans already grinded, oxidation process will lessen the amount of the oil and affect the aroma. The oxidation process will work faster if you're not careful enough to keep the ground inside a vacuum container. For that reason, grinding the bean by yourself will ensure you to get the most from your coffee.

In the market, there are two types of coffee bean grinder, both with their own advantages and disadvantages. First, there are blade grinders, which is the most common type you can find in any household. With this type, coffee beans are chopped by sharp blade that rotate at high speed. Compare with the other type, blade grinders are available in relatively low price. However, the grounds produced by this machine will vary in size and may taste bitter because of the frictional heating.

The other type is burred grinder that uses two revolving grinding elements to crush the bean slowly so it won't cause frictional heating. This type is more expensive and need extra maintenance than blade grinder but it grinds the beans into even and uniform grounds. Burred grinder is suitable for various brewing systems such as French press, espresso, drip, and many others.

By understanding the types of coffee bean grinder, you can simply decide one that meets your needs. There are many brands available in the market such as Braun, Capresso, BUNN, and many others. Comparing each one of them side to side will help you get the best machine with the best value.

It is recommended to do some research first through internet to get the right coffee bean grinder with good performance, quality, value, and delivery service for you. Although it is just a small task but you can get huge benefit from it.
